OUR CRITERIA

Stream 1: Academic Spinouts

• Have IP OR License to IP
• Active 2-3 years in business
• Within, or entering the US Market
• Product in the Market / Advanced Prototype
• Some Revenue - Sales and/or Grants (i.e., SBIR, STTR, NRC, etc.)
• Professional Management (or, moving in that direction)
• Reference Customers (we will check!)

Stream 2: Startups - Pre-Seed / Seed

Startups We ARE INTERESTED In:

• AI, SaaS, B2B (B2C pivoting to B2B)​
• Healthcare / Digital Health / Wellness
• Sales / Workplace Productivity Tools

Startups We ARE NOT INTERESTED In:

• NO Blockchain or Crypto
• NO Cannabis
• NO Military / Defense
• NO Gambling or Pyramid Business Models
• NO DeepTech, SpaceTech
• NO Pornography OR Illegal Activities

KEY STEPS

1. ​Complete the Application Form to Present to the TriState ArchAngels (in association with Washington DC Arch Angels). 
2. DO NOT send your deck at this stage.
3. We will review your Application, and advise you "Yes - Approved", or "No".

If "Yes - Approved"

Randy Shawn Fisher will arrange the following meetings:

• ​Meeting 1:  We will review your product, business model, financial story and presentation. 
• Afterwards, Randy r will decide whether you are "ready" to meet WDCAA investors. 
  • If you are, we will get in touch with you (see below)
  • If you are not, then we will recommend steps you can take to achieve product/market fit and/or become investment ready.

Our Process

• 1st ​​Meeting:  Randall Reade will interview you to learn about your company, business model, value proposition, customer acquistion, market and sales and more. 
• If You are a Good Fit for Our Investors, You will be Invited to Present to the TriState ArchAngels Investor Network.
  • Note: There is a fee for this, payable online.
